CCVS is proud to announce that the Coed Cheer Team Senior Eclipse from Lausanne Angels Cheerleaders will attend and perform during the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea in support of the Swiss Olympic Teams and Athletes. They are participating in the Global Cheerleading Supporters initiative led by the Korean Cheerleading Association, supporting athletes and raising awareness for our sport. CCVS has been invited to designate a top Swiss Coed Team to perform and support Switzerland during the 2018 Winter Olympics located in the Gangwon Province. This organisation is possible thanks to the coordination between the organizing committee of Pyeongchang 2018, the provisionally IOC recognized governing body for Cheer, the International Cheer Union (ICU), as well as ICU’s South Korea National Cheer Federation, the Korea Cheerleading Association (KCA).
CCVS has chosen the Coed Cheer Team Senior Eclipse from Lausanne Angels Cheerleaders to represent Switzerland in performances at award ceremonies, Olympic venues, street parades, closing ceremonies and a friendly cheerleading championship with teams from other Winter Olympic countries. Cheer teams representing Norway, Germany, Canada, USA and the Netherlands will also be participating in the events.
The Angels Cheerleaders team is practicing in Renens, Switzerland, and has been competing in every national competitions in the last few years. Senior Eclipse has also been chosen to represent Switzerland as our coed national team for the ICU World Championship and IASF Worlds in Orlando, Florida in April 2018. They convince with stunts, inventive pyramids and clean performances.
The CCVS and the Angels Cheerleaders team are honored to be part of this initiative towards a better international understanding of our sport and look forward to the experience the athletes and coaches will have in Pyeongchang.
