Travel time USA
It is expected that all national team members, coaches and staff will meet in Orlando/USA on Wednesday 12 April 2023.
From Wednesday evening, 12 April 2023 until and including Friday 21 April 2023 is the common national team time in the USA.
Costs
Through the recognition and membership of Swiss Olympic, the national team can count on support from Swiss Olympic. What exactly the support looks like and whether
we can train in Swiss Olympic Facilities, we still have to wait for feedback from Swiss Olympic and other organizations.
Furthermore, the team will be supported with an amount of money which will be used to finance the music, external coaches and training facilities in the USA
Personal contribution
For the athletes a rate of about 600 CHF per season is estimated. This is payable in two installments and includes:
- Breakfast, dinner and lodging on all training days in Switzerland.
- Supervision by national team staff during and between trainings.
- National team shirt.
For all athletes called to the World Championships squad, a World Championships participation fee of approximately 900 CHF, in addition to the above National Team rate will be assessed. This flat rate includes:
- Breakfast, dinner and lodging while in the U.S. during the announced travel period.
- Local transportation, including tolls and gasoline costs.
- Costs for use of on-site training halls
- World Cup participation fee
- Support from national team coaches and national team staff.
- Cost of equipment and routine music.
Info on scheduling rates will follow after the tryout. Unfortunately, budgeting is very difficult because of Corona, the cost of travel and accommodation in the USA is much higher than 2-3 years ago.
Attention: The costs for your flight to the world championship are not included here yet.
COVID-19 situation
According to the entry regulations to the USA, all entrants must be vaccinated against Covid-19. Swiss Olympic also recommends that all national team members are vaccinated.
We kindly ask you to bring your vaccination certificate to the tryout and show it at the check-in.
